Adding AdSense to your site, and you thought this was going to be easy?

AdSense is the first step in monetizing a site, and also the most annoying, but I need to give it a try even if its just so I can tell people how to do it. So what is the best use for AdSense?
From Wix, its built in so that is the route, I took, but there are a few hoops to jump thru, just like my last post on getting indexed, Google AdSense have some similar criteria.
In here somewhere, is a link to a video about conditions that will get you rejected, site not being up, well duh, being blocked by a text file, but the one that gives me a kick in the nuts is "Quality of Content"
Its very much like the reasons you may be rejected from being Indexed by Google. Paraphrasing a bit, you need to provide quality content, not have a lot of repeats, your content needs to be original, and it needs to be structured and organized. You also should at the AdSense code to the top of the page you want to feature, which in my case is this Blog.
so where do I get this AdSense code from ? And how do I ad it to my HTML, or does Wix do it for me?
Ok, found a snippet:
Sign in to your AdSense account.
Click Ads.
Click Get code.
Click Copy code snippet.
lets try it...
Well it turns out, I don't need to, because Wix link's to your AdSense account and does it for you, as do many other platforms, and I know I have done this already. You just need to go to Monetize, and then AdSense and it will set it up.
So what now? All we can do is wait, and hope our content and structure is good enough, else we need to do some work...
So we waited... one day is all it took, and next I checked on my AdSense account, it said "Ready" Wahooo, I made it, no problems.
Now we needed to complete the plan, and do 2 things, 1. Access AdSense and copy my create an ad.txt file.
Adding an ads.txt File
Go to the Marketing Integrations in your site's dashboard.
Click Connect under Ads.txt.
Click Add ads.txt.
Paste your list of sellers and publisher IDs.
Click Save.
So not from the dashboard for the site, but right form the main Wix screen and add your AdSense id. I only found it by clicking on the link above to complete. If your AdSense is not in the ready state, you will not see this, I don't think you will anyway.
Then we got to the dashboard, apps, monetize with AdSense and create a new ad unit.
That done it was now time to place it on my page, which by now you can probably see. This was a little tricky, as its not all that straight forward, and a bit of googling led me in the right direction.
As it turns out, from the Dashboard, you Edit your site, choose Blog page, and then clicking on Add Element, you scroll down until you see the Adsence ap. Place it on the screen, and size according, or choose autosize, but your not done yet, not you have to tell it which "ad unit" you want to connect it to. Click on settings and "Connect Ad Unit" and of course publish your site.
It took me a couple of try's but I got it eventually, and now you will get bombarded with ad's every time you log in, and I will make a ton of money... (not).
