Digital Debris#3 Computer Virus Threats may be nothing to worry about

The previous post is all about Virus Protection, it was built with the AI tool in Wix, which we will get into more at a later date. Its not what I wanted to say, but it creates a background for this post.

Debris is garbage, and is wasteful, and not productive, but when it comes to Trojan Viruses on our computers, we tend to stand up and take notice, and even panic when we see this, so lets dig into this issue.

It all started when Windows Defender popped up with what it called a severe threat: file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Synapse3\Service\Razer Synapse Service.sys This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

Ok, so we did the right thing, restarted the computer, and went into Windows Security, and looked at what to do and remediate. Then Windows Security ask's again to reboot your machine, so it will not be resident and running in memory. All done.

Now in Virus and threat protection, we see Current Threats: No Current threats, oh what a relief to know this bad Trojan did not get my passwords to my Bitcoin account and wipe me out. Clicking on Protection history, we see 2 dates for today, one incomplete and the other when we click on the so called Severe threat : Trojan:Win32/Vigorf.A and the driver that contained it, Razer Synapse Service.sys has been quarantined.

But don't panic, do clean your computer, do turn on 2 Factor Authentication for critical sites such as your Bank Account, and of course do a full scan of your computer, and remove all reported files that may contain viruses. But in truth, this may be just a false positive, which has occurred dozens of times in the past. Has been know for a while, it seems upgrading the program, or just deleting the file will also solve the problem, so its a leftover, or another form of Debris on you computer that slows us down, causes panic, and anxiety, and none of us need that.

Don't panic, but you need to have a plan in place for when this happens, and also you need to declutter you PC, and your life from Debris, and distractions, becasuse after all, we only have so much time.
