Is this really what its come down to? How can I make a quick Million, without having to do anything, its so easy... And if you believe this, I am going to give you a free Ferrari, just because I am a nice guy.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck, don't worry, its not a duck, you can trust me... its actually a puppy, dressed up like a duck...
Rule #1, never trust anybody that says "Trust Me"
Rule #2, never trust any post that starts out, "This is not a Scam" (because 9/10, its probably a scam
Rule #3 if it sound too good to be true, it is "I make $9000 a day doing this one thing...."
So lets get into the meat of this post, first I am not sure how to categorize it? To have a great BLOG, you need to be organized so your readers can easily navigate, have great original content, and publish a lot of shit. One influencer I have tagged stated you need to post up to 3 times a day for the algorithm to actually promote you organically, I will link to him later in a separate post, it kind of opened my eyes to the whole SEO thing.
This post is a split between 2 classifications, so I will try and include it in both, not sure if I can do this in WIX. Hey cool, something else I can write about, will it ever end? No, it doesn't, and that I think is the point, you can write endlessly, and explore until your mind explodes in the world of Social Media, and the side Hustle Gold Rush, but most of it is pure crap.
I have 2 categories I like to write to:
A. Digital Debris
There is a ton of crap we generate when we surf, click, like, tweet, and its all recorded, stored, analyzed, not for your benefit, hell no, its to make more money for Facebook and Google
B. Down the Rabbit Hole
Every time I see one of these ads, I wonder? "Could it be true?" (no, it never is, and I will tell you why later), so we follow along to get to the end goal, and answer the question: What are they really selling, and is this legit? Also how did they create this presence, and what did it cost in time and money.
So this article contains both, the debris of clicking on this crap (I only do it for research) and what effect it has on my search history. aka, the Digital Debris that Instagram uses to show me more useless crap that I don't want to see. And to do this, I am going down a rabbit hole to show you just what kind of bullshit people are trying to sell, just to make a buck, and how they did it.
A couple of statements that I have concluded define my mission here... I suppose they can be rules 5-6-7
People are lying bullshitters
90% of what you see now on Social Media, is AI generated
90% of information is fabrication, (maybe more)
Proof in concept, is the following 3 Instagram posts:
https://www.facebook.com/reel/816867091150888 - Arjun Mcain
https://www.facebook.com/reel/1611668243412048 - Hanna Barker
https://www.facebook.com/reel/1220116583004444 - Luke Austell
All 3 of these, follow the exact same script, and are AI generated, and in fact, when I checked the profile of "Luke Austell" its a fake genned page, with a bootleg AI genned picture from a clothing ad, and the phone # area code is LA, not Edmonton.
Its so bad, they even genned a different character for the first one, not realizing that eventually Instagram would show all the same ads.
Facebook and its associate Instagram are actually horrible for fake ads, and fake profiles, but they don't care, why? They make a ton of money off this crap, and they don't care if you get screwed. Anytime you see the word "Sponsored" at the bottom of the page, its a paid ad, and there are no checks and balances on what advertisers can promote.
Question 1. Not all of these Facebook profiles are fake, are they? And if so, how can people be so manipulative, and keep promoting this crap?
90% of this crap, is trying to get you to take their course, and they manipulate you in a number of ways, none of which are new, they are age old social engineering techniques that have been used in advertising for a hundred years, ever since the printing press was invented.
Play on peoples insecurities, - make then feel insecure and then provide the instant proven method to cure this
Make it sound easy, as we are all lazy fuckers, and don't want to lift a finger
Create testimony from multiple so called normal people to solidify the message
And it follows a pattern:
This is not a Scam...
I am 60 and started this system with nothing now I make $3000 a month
My daughter is 14 and makes $3000 a day doing this
Then you get the free guide, well nothing wrong with that right? Wrong, the free guide is the hook, a 20 minute video, with all of the above, and you can't lose, as you are guaranteed to make at least $1000 or so. And now they have your email, and can resell it to other promoters for a profit, to become a patsy for other marketing campaigns, aka, junk mail.
So many of these influencers, get sucked into the big scam, and are convinced their road to financial freedom, is to suck in a whole bunch more people by promoting "The Method" or "The system to make wealth" and they include Samcart, Seven Figures Mentoring, and a whole bunch of others. And I dare say when you watch the video of the 22 year old, or the retired 65 year old who testifies, they made $3000 in their first month, in reality they are:
a. Lying
b. paid actors
c. Not even real but AI generated. ( this is becoming the goto of scammers)
Why would people lie? Create these fake web pages, and they sound so genuine?
Because they are at the top of the Pyramid, and have placed making money, above ethics,
They paid $2000 for training you can get anywhere for free, and need to prove to themselves its worth it.
Or, they are actually so green and so stupid, they believe the hype, and think at some point they too will be a millionaire. It would seem to me, 90% of the people who respond to these GRQ come on's, and pay the $2000, are newbies to the field of online side hustles, and don't have a clue, so I am here to educate you.
None of this works without a following, or paid advertising, and paid advertising is expensive, so to promote anything, be it your own product, or someone else's, you will need to get the word out there. A single static page is like a bottle in the ocean, nobody is going to find it without Content, and Optimization. The key to all of this, is SEO. Once you understand SEO, then and only then can you start to get an organic following, which can then possibly convert.
You don't need expensive training courses to attain the required knowledge, as all the required platforms that you will use, have built in training courses, tutorials, and templates to use, and 90% of it as a beginner, is free... why? Because they want you to learn and use their platforms.
SEO is yet another seperate category that I concentrate on in my over 60 life, and one that I think will eventually lead me to something, but here is a short list of the applications that make it all work.
WIX, or Wordpress - you need a design tool that has built in SEO and ample tutorials, once you get good at it, then explore other development tools
Google Search Engine Console - this is critical to getting you web page, blog etc recognized
Google Analytics - performance monitoring
Ahrefs - for SEO tools and marketing
Semrush - Keyword search's, and free link building training
And the good news is, all of these come with free training, and there are thousands of support videos on Youtube to keep you busy for months.
And time... I just spend almost 3 hours writing this one article, and now need to spend another hour optimizing with the SEO tools in WIX, once completed, ahrefs will give me a report on how well I did...
As a test, i will now publish this, without optimization, just to see what ahrefs come up with then will optimize and let it run again. I will let you know the results.
cheers
